Halo Friendlies Official
The Halo Friendlies were an indie pop punk band from Southern California. Originally started in 1997 and active until 2004, the final lineup of the band consisted of lead guitarist Natalia Bolanos who is still active in music, singer/bass player Ginger Reyes, went on to tour with Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage, Gwen Stefani, Sabrina Carpenter and many others. Claudia Rossi currently plays drums for Lo-Ball, and Judita Wignall, guitarist/singer was the inspiration for Judy Nails on Guitar Hero, where her band The Scouts of St. Sebastian was featured.
The Halo Friendlies have two notable albums, a self released EP called “Acid Wash” and their full length “Get Real” which was produced by The Muffs frontwoman, Kim Shattuck, and released by Tooth and Nail records.
Some of the bands they toured with included Good Charlotte, No Use For A Name, MxPx, Funeral For a Friend, and Rancid. They also did several weeks on the Warped Tour (summer of 1998, 2001 and 2002) and an eastern European USO tour.
They were featured playing live in the episode, “Smashed”, on Buffy The Vampire Slayer. They received a gold record for their performance of “Me Against the World” on the Disney film “Freaky Friday”. They also performed the motion capture for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.
